On the Continuing Decline of the United States of America

Mea Culpa from a Reformed Democrat
I'm embarrassed to admit that I voted for Obama in 2008. I ask myself now how I could be so foolish. I've concluded that it was some misguided effort to atone for my supposed sin of being born and reared in the South in the 50's and 60's, to prove that I was really a racist. I bet there are a lot of other white voters who did the same thing.

At the time I discounted his utter lack of any experience besides being a "community organizer," or in more direct language, a poverty pimp. I discounted the long, close association with the Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers, and the hateful, racist Jerimiah Wright. I laughed at the jokes about Sarah Palin, but guess what - she had more executive experience that Obama, and as dingy as she sometimes sounded, at least she was a patriot who loved America.

I thought the people who said that Obama was a radical leftist/Moslem/alien were nutty. I now believe they were right all along. How else to explain the fiascos in Syria and Benghazi, pulling out troops completely out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and radically downsizing the Navy. And one that no one even remembers: when the Iranian people tried to have their own version of the Arab Spring (I know Iranians are not Arab), Obama said nothing and did nothing while the mullahs' thugs murdered demonstrators in the streets and arrested and tortured them. Meanwhile, Obama helped overthrow one of our strongest, most loyal allies, President Mubarek in Egypt, who was replaced by a member of the Moslem Brotherhood.

And if it's treason or a violation of the secrecy laws for Snowden and that cross dressing pervert Bradley Manning (how the hell did he ever get in the Army?) to leak secrets to Julian Assange, how do Obama and Biden get away with blowing the Navy Seals' cover in the Bin Laden raid? That led directly to a platoon from Seal Team Six being set up and shot down in Afghanistan.

It is just as bad domestically. The Affordable Care Act a/k/a Obamacare is a socialist takeover of the health care innsurance industry. Of course the "conservative" chief justice John Roberts wrote the opinion that said it was constitutional. Obama's latest project is a homosexual employment rights act (see below). The Obama agenda is to weaken the U.S. internationally, and undermine our culture and society internally. The whole gay rights thing, especially when it involves the military, is designed to make this country an easier target.

I have made a solemn vow - I will never vote for a f-------- democrat again as long as I live.

The U.S. government and a ranking Drug Enforcement Administration official here are being sued for up to $6.4 million over a wild shootout in which a commercial truck driver moonlighting as a secret informant was slain by gangsters in the proximity of as many as two dozen officers on a counter-narcotics task force .

The dead man’s former boss contends the DEA used his 18-wheeler in the 2011 government sting _ that played out in Harris County _ without permission; refused to repair the bullet-riddled truck after the shooting; and subjected him and his family to unwarranted retaliation by the Zetas cartel, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday at the federal courthouse in Houston.

Obama Told Aides He's 'Really Good At Killing People,' New Book 'Double Down' Claims
Obama, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, has overseen the expansion of the CIA's targeted killing program, which the Bureau of Investigative Journalism estimates has killed between 2,528 and 3,648 individuals in Pakistan since 2004. That organization also estimates that between 416 and 948 of those killed in drone strikes were civilians -- an estimate disputed by the Obama administration.

Among those civilians, according to Amnesty International, was a Pakistani grandmother killed alongside 18 civilian laborers in a 2012 strike. The grandmother's family came to Washington, D.C., last month to testify before Congress and urge an end to drone warfare.

Obsms Says Time for Employment Nondiscrimination Law for Homosexuals
Obama, writing in the ultraliberal Huffington Post, or as Rush Limbaugh calls it, "the Huffington Puffington," starts his piece with this: "Here in the United States, we're united by a fundamental principle: we're all created equal and every single American deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law."

Maybe it is time for Texas to secede.

  1. File this response under circular politics.

I agree with your position that the Obama Presidency has been a failure, although for different reasons. Your post does a good job of repeating the Fox News / Rush talking points, but fails to touch on a several issues which resonate with the hard core left. As a lifelong, card carrying Marxist, I see a different list of failures and lies as follows:

    1) Broken Promises of Financial Reform – Obama has done nothing to regulate the freewheeling, self-serving derivative trading which caused the crash of 2008, where in the Government printed trillions of dollars to bail out our capitalists institutions (100 cents on the dollar) from derivative bets often taken by the individuals running the corporations. Too big to fail is now bigger than ever. This debt was pushed off on the backs of working Americans, clearly the biggest redistribution of wealth in the history of the world (bottom - up). When Rush talks about redistribution of wealth, he fails to mention 2008.

    2) Guantanamo Prison – Obama promised to close Guantanamo. He lied.

    3) Renditions – Obama promised to stop prisoner renditions for torture. He lied.

    4) Failure to fire or prosecute James Clapper – James Clapper, our director of National Intelligence, lied to Congress under oath regarding NSA spying on Americans and intercepting ALL of our emails and phone records. Pretty serious stuff. Clapper not only escaped prosecution, he kept his job. For contrast, remember Roger Clemens?

This is the short list, but these issues are largely supported by the policy makers that control Rush / WSJ / Fox…..etc., so they never enter the thoughts of most Kerrvillians.

  2. Maybe he's a fascist instead of a communist.

  3. I agree that Obama is a Socialist, which is a dirty word to a real Marxist. We see a Socialist and nothing more than a spineless Communist.

The extreme left and the extreme right do have much common ground. We both believe in free and easy access to firearms of our choosing, although we tend to think of this situation in terms of an armed Proletariat.

We both agree that that the US is in a serious decline, although we see it in terms of Marxist Crisis Theory. The decay and decline of the US is quite predictable and explainable when viewed from a Marxist perspective.
